After walking to the Cloisters, Lakeview Drive beckons with a wooden overview of the small local lake. Its not particularly breathtaking by any stretch of the imagination, but it does give an insight into what Paradise Island looked like before human development. Beside the allure of the palm trees and the man made tropical paradise, the reality is that Paradise Island was a rough patch of pine forest with mostly scrub land that frankly wasn't particularly attractive!
