Here we have an excellent day trip, Constitution Hall and the Liberty Bell, the Pennsylvania State House, now known as Constittution Hall was where the Declaration of Independence was signed, also where the Philadelphia Convention met to discuss and approve, as a proposal, the US Constitution for eventual ratification by the states.
In the below picture we see Constitution Hall in all of its glory.
An actual skeleton key which is still in use to lock doors at Constitution Hall.
Below, we see the Liberty Bell
Another shot of the Liberty Bell.
A photo of one of the originals of the Declaration of Independence.
This room is where public trials would take place, it amply demonstrates how the literal derivation of standing trial and passing the bar came to pass.
Constitution Hall, or at least a portion of it, or perhaps an 'annex' might be a more appropriate word since its not quite the same building is where the US Supreme Court sat for a short time before relocating to Washington DC.
This is the room where the actual Declaration of Independence was signed, note the chair with the rising sun on it (or setting sun?)
